PO said automation and declining contributions reason for Bethel layoffs
by truthseeker inlast week at the meeting, the po, who has very close connections to bethel, said that he never thought he would see the day that bethelites were being sent home.
he said that the biggest two reasons he thought bethel were cutting back, was automation and a massive decline in contributions.
looks like you're right metatron about the contribution aspect being their achilles heel.

let all remember that bethel sent home about 500-1000 bethelites a few years ago ,when they moved the printing to wallkill. now add another 1000. your talking about 2000 sent home. in the course of less than 3 years. figure $20 a day to feed and house each bethelite $7300 a year + $110 a month pay. =1320 a year. $8620 per bethelite a year. make it an even $9000 a year X 2000= $18 million saved each year. were talking about each jw' paying $3 EACH PER YEAR TO PAY FOR THESES 2000 BETHELITES. IT'S NOT REALLY BIG DOLLARS. the wt is just cheap. john

Has the WTS ever sued a "brother" or any baptised Witness?

i think it is an important question because from recent observation on another jw website, it has come up that some jw bethelites are suing the wts in workers comp cases after getting injured while at bethel.
this is big news to me since i have a similar case outstanding right now.

welcome shawn; there is a few threads on this site about a bethelite doctor . that sued the wt for workman comp. and won in court . i'm sure someone here will post a link. it can be done. iv'e enjoyed your posts so far. maybe tell us more about bethel . i had a few arguements with some jw's about the wt. retirement plan and health care. they just don't get it. i wouldn't waste to much time with eduardo. i get the feeling he's a wt lawyer. he's always kissing the wt ass. john

my favorite attack is to pin the field service elder leader . on a pointed fence in front of his asskissing pioneer's and make him look like a DOPE. takes about 3 minutes. or less mostly less. a.ll they do is cry they are calling the POLICE. . my whole point here; is that after of @40 yrs' of wt indoctrination . i never went out on f/s not once. NEVER. at the point i thought i it may be good to become a christian. and with a lot of jw pressure . i tested what was printed in the lasted wt mag's and no jw' i've known all these years could . ever back up what was printed in just a dozen or so mag's ie 1914 1918 . millions now living will never die etc. i couldn't find any of these books at the hall library. no jw ever read a single one of them BUT CALLED THEM TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!! $HIT I HAd TO SPEND DAYS IN THE 42ND. STREET PUBLIC LIBRARY N.YC. TO FIND OUT THE WT , SAID THEN PYRAMIDS PROVED THE TIME OF THE END STATED IN 1776 1780 1798 1799 . the sky had fallen in 1829 , that the parable of the 10 virgins happened in 1844 with the false prophecy of the end of the word at that time. 1872, 1973-4 with jesus returning 30 years from 1843-4 how jesus returned in 1874 1875 1`876 1878 and had choosen russell as the fds in 1881 with the closing to heaven . i could type up wt SHIT straight from 1874 to 2006. what;s the point i never would knock on one persons door, unless i didn't the research for my self and proven every wt mag or book was truth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! would anyone like to buy the greatest vacuum cleaner ever.... john

frank; i watched your arguements on the thread about jn 2:18-21 and tho i know your out of the wt. thier indoctrination has not left you. i'm happy your out. but the point is you spent hours typing, to defend what you learned from the wt. just as it took me hours to read it, was you right or wrong.? you can't tell me that in 50 years of field service this topic never came up. christians use this verse all the time. as well as luke 24:36-39 etc. i mean you were in brooklyn for how many years. you never wanted to check out the main brooklyn public library at boro hall? i personnally seen the jw's get the hebrew bible ot. handed to them dozens of time from my jewish neighbors. with the jw's standing there like dopes. then there was a greek orthodix priest living down the street church and all. that i became friends with. at the age of 13 i watched this guy . rip 4 long time jw's to shreads. on greek and the nwt. sorry he's not alive today. now that i am a ful fledged wt exposer. . some of these conversations were set up by my mother . a catholic. over 35 years ago. all because my jw dad thought he knew everything. i know how jw work the f/s and most times never return . when they find some one with strong knowlege of something the jw's don't want to talk about. it happenes to me everyday , i talk to a jw. no matter what the topic. btw i like your site. john

i agree with lisa. many jw's and elders seem like nice people . and may not be so harsh on the flock. but i've had debates with 100's of these dopes. and lost very few on wt doctrine. when someone can promote wt propraganda . in the face that a new wt is lying about the wt hjistory. and or bible . i have no respect for such persons. because they are not honest and not willing to test , what mother tells them. i mean it only took me a few weeks in the public library and kingdom hall library. and reading the new testament. researching to figure out the wt is full of $hit. with out the help of the internet. i've been around jw's for close to 40 yrs. and even as a child it smelled to high heaven. i've seen my father (only jw in the family) get whipped dozens of times by christians, straight from the bible. and he's as blind as a bat. he can't be that stupid. iv'e been kicking the shit out of him on wt dogma for the last 8 years. and anyone he brings to try to out talk me. none of these people are good people. and i know many of them most of my life. it's at the point that my dad cleared out his wt library in the livingroom . just so i can't pull out a bound volume or truth book to show him the lies. to make a long story short. i know most any jw . finds other christians etc. in f/s that make thier heads spin. on wt doctrine. i'm sure to become an elder you have to do many mental gymnastics. and lie to your self. that includes long stints working at bethel. i feel no sorrow for this c.o. and only hope he reaps what he has sown . in his last few years. infact i would like to talk to him 5 times a week. tied to a chair. and help him repent... john

How Much The WTS Pays To Print And Distribute Its Magazines Per Item

on another thread i gave a what-if situation using 10 cents per magazine although i'm thinking that with the cost of the printing presses and software factored in it could be more.
who knows or can give a good estimate?

in about 1990 it was between 3-4 cents per copy. as per freeminds. look it up . at that time the mag's were sold for .25 cents each about a 600% mark -up. NOT BAD HAH. THAT'S PAPER INK . SLAVE LABOR AND ALL. FIGURE IN 2006 WITH INFLATION . MAYBE .10 CENT'S A COPY.. when a jw offers me 2 mag's i offer a dime and ask for 2 cents change. just to make the point . that's all it costs the wt to print them , and if the jw is donating more they are suckers. john
